The Eco Camino concept sparked from a desire to participate in the progress made in the tourism industry recently. In a lush and beautiful environment such as Belize, it is a privilege for adventurous travelers to experience the different spots, and a responsibility to leave them unharmed. This is our “leave no trace” motto.

We offer service in French, English and Spanish to cater to a large group of eco-conscious travelers. We aim at giving you the exclusive feel you seek and deserve with the best possible experience. Our programs are off the beaten path, benefit local communities, they are educational and personable, all the while satisfying the edgy adventure traveler’s need for thrill and excitement.

We seek what brings us closer to one another, we seek to understand the fragile balance in our ecosystem and share with others the impact our footprints can bare. For this we’ve built packages that remove the artifice, and present a true life experience in which volunteering and connecting stand at the forefront of our activities.

Adventurous Traveler

We help adventure travelers discover Belize with the support of local guides (possibility of guided tours interpreted in French as well – Inquire here).

We’ve built a strong network of partners throughout Belize to provide activities that promote a positive interaction with the natural environment.

We know and understand the needs of eco-conscious travelers and therefore thrive to provide a flexible and adaptable experience varying with your individual interests and desires.

We work closely with the Belize Tourism Board and various tour operators in Belize and travel agencies abroad to pin-point new sites, activities, and means of transportation with precision and timeliness.

Your time is precious, and our expertise will make the difference! No matter what you wish to see, we can make it happen!

The Eco Camino Team

We are adventure travelers ourselves. Founder Geneviève Fournaise has considerable experience in ecotourism, travel planning and group coordination. She’s settled in Belize over two years and has answered the call for a greater positive impact in the tourism industry.

The team understands the importance of human contact, lasting relationships, and preserving our natural environment.

After trekking through the Australian desert, the jungle of North America, and roaming Canada from East to West; after participating in government missions as territory development coordinator in ecotourism projects within Mayan communities in Mexico, the goal was clear: celebrate our planet and cultures by nurturing this gift we were given. And to start it all in Beautiful Belize!

Our local guides can show you parts of Belize unknown and untouched. The journey starts with them! They are a passionate team with a love for sharing their culture.
